Who We Are

Our Story

Here at On‑Site OPS, we didn’t rise from boardrooms or business schools. We rose from the field — from long nights, cold shifts, and the kind of real‑world experience that shapes who you are. Every one of our executives started as guards. We’ve walked the same sites our officers walk today. We’ve stood in the same dark corners, answered the same calls, and carried the same weight.

And we never forgot it.

Our COO still puts on the uniform and works shifts beside the team. Not because he has to — but because leadership means nothing if you can’t stand where your officers stand. That’s the heartbeat of OPS. We lead from the front.

We built this company because we saw the industry from the inside. We saw the shortcuts. We saw the disrespect. We saw the lack of humanity. And we refused to accept it. We set out to build something better — for our officers, for our clients, and for the community.

We live by our slogan: Secure the site. Honor the soul.

And we mean it with every breath.

When we encounter someone trespassing — even a homeless individual trying to escape the rain — we don’t see a problem. We see a person. Yes, we get them safely off the site. That’s our duty. But we don’t stop there. We offer help, direction, resources… anything we can do to give them a chance at something better than a tarp and a cold sidewalk. Because honoring the soul means honoring every soul.

And here’s the truth:
We handle what we can handle.
We don’t call law enforcement unless it’s truly needed.
We de‑escalate. We communicate. We resolve.

But we also maintain strong, respectful relationships with local Police and Sheriff’s Departments. When a situation requires more than a security officer can legally provide, we work seamlessly with them to make sure the community gets the right help at the right time.

OPS was built to be different — and we embrace that difference.
We stand on the mountain and declare it with our whole chest:
We are not like the rest of this industry.
We protect with strength.
We serve with humanity. That’s who we are at OPS.
A team forged in the field.
A team that remembers where it came from.
A team committed to raising the standard — one site, one shift, one community at a time.

About

My name is Erik Mclaren

I came up through the field, and I’ve lived some of the same struggles as the people we meet — including a period of homelessness. I know what it feels like to be cold, ignored, or just trying to make it through the night. That’s why I lead with compassion while holding the standards that keep everyone safe. To me, security isn’t just for those who can afford it. Everyone deserves to feel safe, and we offer help wherever we can while still protecting our officers and serving our clients with integrity
